Viktoriya Zakrevska: "PlayCity Initiates a review of the winnings taxation system in favor of players"

The legal gambling market in Ukraine has shown rapid growth over the past five years. However, the excessive tax burden—particularly on players’ winnings—is gradually making the legal sector less competitive compared to the shadow market. This issue cannot be effectively resolved solely through restrictive measures or increased law enforcement efforts, as no jurisdiction in the world has succeeded in doing so this way.
