On 12 August 2021, Chairman of the Ukrainian Gambling Council Anton Kuchukhidze and First Deputy Chairman of the State Agency for Tourism Development of Ukraine Kyrylo Dombrovskyi signed a Memorandum of Cooperation. The key purpose of the Memorandum is to promote comprehensive cooperation between the parties in observing the current legislation in the field of organisation and conduct of gambling in Ukraine.
Cooperation under the Memorandum will be carried out through the following forms of interaction:
• facilitation of the exchange of information and experience between parties, as well as international and Ukrainian organizations and associations;
• facilitation of productive dialogue and fruitful cooperation between gambling operators and hotels;
• improvement of the legal and regulatory framework;
• facilitation of the interaction between gambling operators and hotels in observing the current legislation and provision of top-level services;
• promotion of Ukraine as a tourist destination.
In addition to the above areas of cooperation, the parties to the Memorandum also agreed to promote compliance with the responsible gambling principles, spread ideas of social responsibility of the gambling legalization in Ukraine, and raise awareness of Ukrainian citizens about the gambling market.
