Dear Google Team,
Hereby we, Ukrainian Gambling Council, are writing to you on our own behalf and in the interests of our members.
We are an NGO that unites representatives of the gambling industry in Ukraine, our members are the following brands: Shangri La, Parimatch, Slots City.
We highly appreciate and support the Google's globalization policy allowing all people around the world to be connected and benefit from the progress of digital technologies. We specifically deeply welcome the recently announced plans starting from March 1, 2021 to expand the number of countries for which developers can publish their gambling apps («Permitted countries»).
We would like to draw your attention, however, that the extended list of still omits all types of gambling that can be advertised in Ukraine.
On August 13, 2020, the law "On state regulation of activities related to the organization and conduct of gambling" came into force in Ukraine. According to this law, the following types of gambling are allowed in Ukraine - online/offline casinos, online/offline betting, slot machines, online poker.
To remedy this situation, we urge Google to expand the list of types of gambling that are allowed in Ukraine - online/offline casinos, online/offline betting, slot machines, online poker and to provide users in Ukraine with the opportunity to enjoy a whole host of digital benefits, technologies through online gambling, as Ukrainian citizens do today.
