Ukrainian Gambling Council (UGC) and Public Organization Public Council of EXPO-2030 Odesa concluded a Memorandum of Partnership and Cooperation.
The document was signed by Chairman of the Ukrainian Gambling Council Anton Kuchukhidze, and Head of the Public Council for EXPO-2030 Odesa Yevhen Lyevyenberg.
The memorandum defines the main areas and measures of cooperation between UGC and EXPO-2030 Odesa on the consolidation of efforts regarding the joint desire to implement effective forms of cooperation to create favourable conditions for the development and preparation of Odesa for the organization of EXPO-2030 international exhibition and its holding in Ukraine.
In particular, the Memorandum emphasizes the priority development and support of the social, technical and financial development of the City of Odesa and Odesa region. After all, Expo 2030 is an international exhibition that is a symbol of industrialization and an open platform for demonstrating technical and technological achievements.
Cooperation between the parties provides for interaction in the preparation, agreement and holding joint public events, exchange of information within the limits provided by the legislation, coordination of efforts to develop a unified policy on the preparation and participation of Ukraine, the City of Odesa and Odesa region in the selection of candidate countries for the organization of EXPO-2030 international exhibition, carrying out an information campaign in the media to highlight events and problems related to such preparation, providing expert advisory and other assistance during the organization of public discussions and debates regarding the selection of Ukraine as the venue for EXPO-2030 and the prospects that open up for our country as a result.
Emphasizing the importance of signing the Memorandum at this particular time, UGC’s Chairman Anton Kuchukhidze noted that despite the ongoing war it is necessary to think about the future development of the state and take care of what will happen after Ukraine's victory in the war with Russia.
"The domestic gambling business is proud to be able to join the Odesa initiative to hold such a powerful international exhibition as EXPO-2030. We believe in the victory of Ukraine. We believe that such a partnership between the gambling business and the public in preparing the City of Odesa and Odesa region for EXPO-2030 will provide both the region and all of Ukraine with an additional competitive advantage, first of all, in the world tourism market, and Odessa will become interesting to millions of new tourists," the chairman of UGC said.
For his part, Head of Public Council of EXPO-2030 Odesa Yevhen Lyevyenberg said: "The support of our application to hold EXPO 2030 by the Ukrainian Gambling Council is, first of all, an indicator of trust in our team, which undoubtedly has great chances to hold the exhibition. We are certain that the Ukrainian Gambling Council will help improve the tourist attractiveness of the region, both at the national and international levels, provide high-quality gaming services, create new jobs and be an example of a responsible Ukrainian business."
The reconstruction of Ukraine will become the most important economic, technological and humanitarian project of our time. The state is already involving dozens of partner countries in the restoration of Ukraine. EXPO-2030 will be a vivid example of the successful implementation of the state policy on post-war reconstruction.
